The Library Company was founded Norwich, Connecticut, in 1796. This collection of records includes a catalog of books brought from Hartford, Connecticut, a list of subscribers and the number of shares each one purchased, receipts, lists of books prices, and correspondence about purchases of additional books between Isaac Beers in New Haven and Daniel Coit who served as treasurer of the library.
